Galilee has the only Snow House on the whole island, which was mainly used to collect and store snow for disposal throughout the year until 1917, the year it was no longer used as a warehouse. Some other emblematic buildings that you can find in this charming village are an old monastery with the tiles of the house painted, as well as a "Molino de Martí" and a "Pozo Des Rafal" which was dated before the seventeenth century. Galilea is undoubtedly a place full of history and culture to discover.

Traditions and specialities
Being a village that has maintained its authentic and rural side throughout all these years, offers a wide range of gastronomic specialties of all types of Mallorcan cuisine. We recommend ordering a delicious dish of "frito mallorquín" or "arroz brut", an authentic delicacy! Every year the village holds the annual ecological and craft fair, where you can find all kinds of products and food, with the main objective of promoting small businesses and protecting the natural environment. In addition, at the beginning of September you will also be able to enjoy a "torrada" with all the inhabitants, where dinner is distributed and prepared among all the neighbours as a tradition.
With just 300 inhabitants in the village, Galilea counts as one of the places with the least inhabitants of the whole island. The village does not offer many options to stay there, and for the same reason, it is advisable to book a hotel in Port Andratx such as La Pérgola to spend an unforgettable family holiday.
