Cycle touring routes around Mallorca
We have the best cycling routes to experience the perfect cycling adventure in Mallorca. Combining stunning landscapes, terrains for all levels, and rides through the Mallorcan paradise, these routes are sure to impress any cycling enthusiast.
Are you ready? At La Pérgola, we love being the starting point for all these bike tours, and the destination for cyclists to recover, take a swim, or enjoy the benefits of the spa. But first... you must earn it.
From Andratx to Pollença
We start from Andratx for the first ride, and we can tell you that it will be about 43 kilometers with a 120-meter ascent. If you're not very accustomed to exercising or cycling, we recommend choosing another route or stopping when you can no longer continue.
This is one of the most popular routes on the island, running along the MA-10 road, which traverses the Sierra de Tramontana, offering incredible views of the Mallorcan coast.
The route begins at the port of Andratx and heads towards Valldemossa, a path worth taking slowly to enjoy the small villages nestled under the mountains and the sea views.
From Valldemossa to Sóller
If after visiting Valldemossa on the previous route you want to see more of this mountain village, we recommend the cycling path that starts here and heads towards Sóller.
This is an almost mandatory road route for cycling enthusiasts, highly recommended for its countryside views and challenging climbs. It is one of the best bike rides and a great opportunity to see the picturesque spots connecting these two towns.
From the Port of Sóller to La Calobra
A true classic. From the port of Sóller to La Calobra, cyclists will pass through some of the most popular places on the island. This route, not suitable for everyone, crosses Puig Major and the famous Coll des Reis.
La Calobra, with its 26 hairpin bends, deserves a special mention because it combines the thrill of the journey with the respect for a road that holds a special place in the heart of any cyclist who has ridden it. From here, you can see the green hills almost plunging into the sea and spot beautiful and picturesque villages like Deià.
From Pollença to Cap de Formentor
Starting from the port of Pollença towards Cap de Formentor, you can experience one of the most exciting cycling adventures. It’s about 20 kilometers, manageable for almost any cycling enthusiast, beginning at the port.
This area of Mallorca is very popular for its unique charm and because it is the meeting point of the four Mediterranean winds. Additionally, it has challenging ascents to test the most experienced riders.
The coast, viewed from the road, displays a full palette of colors regardless of the time of day, making this route an unforgettable memory.
