Imported from the Romans centuries ago, the almond tree is the first to bloom when the climate begins to be milder, makes the island's farms the main attraction, and also announces that spring is getting closer and closer. There is no doubt that this visual spectacle of light and pinkish tones, and the good climate turn the landscape into a real wonder.

Sóller and Bunyola
It should be noted that these two villages are the largest producers of almonds on the island. We recommend visiting the towns by train from Palma, although you can also do it by car, as you will be able to observe one of the most beautiful landscapes of the Tramuntana mountain range with an endless number of fields of almond, orange and lemon trees. Puig de Randa

From Puig de Randa you will be able to observe a white landscape of the Pla de Mallorca, populated with almond trees, and where you will be able to enjoy the nature that the island offers us from only one point of view. It also has a family restaurant with a great culinary offer, the perfect excuse to spend the day with the family and contemplate the almond trees in bloom. During the journey to Randa you will cross authentic villages such as Algaida, until you reach the charming place of Randa.
Son Servera
Our route continues to the southwest of the island to Son Servera. In addition to being able to contemplate a beautiful landscape, you can also visit one of the largest fairs of Almond Flower. During the first weekend of February, a 13th century farm will host the fair which will have a variety of stands where you can taste products made with almonds, almond wood and see the tools that are used for the harvest during the month of August and September each year. It is a traditional fair and very touristic, which aims to promote this fruit.
And to put the icing on the cake for such a marvellous day, we stopped in some traditional forn of the village to taste the typical sweets of the season: like the almond cat or panellets.
