Mallorca with the family
Just like many trips you have made previously in life, traveling with children is almost like travelling for the first time again. Discovering new cities and experiences through their eyes is one of the most exciting and rewarding things about traveling as a family.
Savour the time, pause the rhythm and value the small things that usually go unnoticed. In addition, through travel the little ones at home will learn to appreciate, try and discover new things. Travel will broaden their horizons and allow them to value other cultures, customs and languages.
Mallorca is a fantastic destination to get started with the wonderful art of traveling. Shallow water beaches, a beautiful mountain range to discover, exciting caves to explore, walks along the seashore and dream towns that are culture rich in nuances.
Are you planning to visit Mallorca with your children soon?
We at La Pérgola propose three plans that will make you remember this holiday for the rest of your lives.
1. Start snorkelling.
Diving mask, a tube and a quiet cove is all you need to discover that, under water there is a new world full of life and colour.
The first day of diving never leaves anyone without pure wonder at the underwater world that lays below the surface. We dare to say that in almost any cove on the island you can practice this sport: Cala Deià, Banyalbufar, Cala S’Almonia or Cala Fornells.
2. Excursion through the Tramuntana Mountains.
Touring the Tramuntana Mountain range from end to end is a recommended activity for all ages.
The beauty of the landscape dotted with cliffs, deep canyons, grottos and streams will make the little ones learn to respect both mountain and sea.
The jewel in the crown is by far the Torrent de Pareis which, although not suitable for those who tend to get a little travel sick on car journeys, manages to make the whole journey worthwhile with its breath taking beauty.
3. Travel on a wooden train.
Travel from Palma to Sóller and feel like time is standing still.
A traditional wooden train dating from 1912 will take you from the capital, Palma to a town located in a ‘valley of oranges’ called Sóller. On this excursion, in addition to seeing the Tramuntana Mountains from your train coach, you can board a tram that will take you down to Port de Sóller and end the day with a swim at the beach.
These three plans are just a sample of everything that Mallorca has to offer. Your children will learn to know new places while they enjoy both you and the island.
The island of Mallorca will give you a trip to remember!
