The most beautiful villages in the Serra Tramuntana
A beauty that stretches over 90 km, with stone walls, viewpoints and the sea.
90 kilometres of a practically perfect symbiosis between people and nature. The balance between cultures, traditions, roots and identity. The Serra de Tramuntana, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 2011, is sprinkled with some of the most beautiful, special and unique places and villages in the world.
At La Pérgola Aparthotel we would like to invite you to discover our favourite villages:
1.Valldemossa
"Everything that the poet and the painter can dream of has been created by nature in this place."
The easiest way would be to define Valldemossa by the number of famous visitors who fell in love with the beauty of this place. Such as Chopin, George Sand or Rubén Darío. But Valldemossa is much, much more.
Valldemossa is a treasure among olive, almond and carob trees, made of stone and water, with flowers and history. A village in a valley where its cobbled streets, its elegance and its vast cultural offerings speak of its history, the way of life of its people and its roots.
Nothing we tell you will ever do justice to its beauty.
2.Deià
The eternal Dolcefarniente with sea view.
Deià is peace and tranquillity, its steep streets and stone houses, the view of the sea and the special bohemian atmosphere in which music and silence live together in perfect harmony.
Deià is a village on a mountain that is very lively despite its apparent silence. The cultural life attracts visitors from all corners of the island.
Without a doubt, a visit to Deià and its surroundings will change you forever.
3.Fornalutx
Traditional Majorcan architecture floods all the streets of this small village in the Serra de Tramuntana.
The reddish roof tiles of its stone houses combine with the orange and yellow of the fruit trees of the Sóller valley. The beauty of the cobbled streets and the tranquillity that reigns in this village have made it one of the most beautiful sightseeing in the Serra de Tramuntana.
Fornalutx may be less well known than its "bigger siblings", but this village lacks nothing to envy them.
4.Banyalbufar
As the origin of its name suggests, it is a seaside village. The steep terraces for viticulture turn this small and picturesque village into one of the most popular places on the island.
The impressive view of the sea and the winding streets create one of the most beautiful corners of Mallorca.
A few kilometres from the village we also find Es Port des Canonge, a small fishing port where the sea, tradition and the roots of Majorcan seafaring come together.
