Smart Aparthotel with great facilities and location. Extremely helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. Food pretty good, fruit selection fantastic. Would not hesitate to recommend and hope to return.

Tripadvisdor Review – April 2019

Fabulous short break

This is our third stay at la Pergola and was a lovely short break before the Easter rush. We upgraded to half board before we travelled and feel we got value for money. The hotel is very clean and the staff very friendly…

Tripadvisdor Review – April 2019

Wonderful

We stayed here whilst walking the GR221 for a little bit of luxury and that is exactly what we got. Watching the sunset made it extra special.

Booking Review – May 2019

Fantastic apartment and area

Plenty of space in our apartment, very clean with everything we needed, plenty of windows around the apartment letting in a lot of natural light.

The best climbing areas on Mallorca

The best climbing areas on Mallorca

Are you one of those who enjoy the world from a height? Climbing is a very popular sport in Mallorca. Climbing is a kind of religion and its followers defend the right to see the world from above. They are dedicated to adrenaline, self-improvement and strong emotions.

Would you like to discover Mallorca from a completely different viewpoint? Dare to climb and you will see the beauty from every perspective.

The island's climate and terrain mean that climbers of all levels and varieties of this sport can always find the right route. Some prefer classic climbing, others sport climbing and more and more followers discover psicobloc, a modality that consists in climbing above the water and without a rope.

Climbing requires physical strength, but also mental strength. That's why, from La Pergola, we advise you to choose the perfect place to climb depending on your level and, above all, to always be accompanied by an expert in the field.

1. Fraguels (Bunyola): This is one of the most famous and popular areas for climbing in Mallorca. In this rocky part of the Serra de Tramuntana, there are more than 70 different routes that allow you to climb every day of the year. Slabs, short endurance routes and overhangs will delight the most daring athletes.

You will find stalactites, slab slides and hole routes. Attention: There are very few routes for beginners and the few that are available tend to be too difficult. Therefore, this area is recommended for experienced climbers.

2. Calvià: If you are a beginner and want to gain confidence and improve your skills, Calvià can be your ideal place to climb. Located in the southern part of the Serra de Tramuntana, it is an ideal place for families and beginners as there are only sport routes. A place sheltered from the wind but not the sun: perfect before the sun starts to bite.

3. Port de Valldemossa: if you are one of those who always need the sea nearby, this is your ideal option. The sea breeze will give you the push you need to reach your destination. The Port de Valldemossa has four sectors and routes with many reglettes and slabs. There are also some small overhangs and roofs.

4. Sa Gubia (Bunyola): If you are with a heterogeneous group with different levels of ability, Sa Gubia is one of the best climbing areas on the island. There are routes of different difficulty levels that are ideal for beginners, but also for advanced climbers.

From La Pérgola we encourage you to practice one of the most complete sports. You will release adrenaline while enjoying a different and wonderful Mallorca. You will be privileged.
